Disney set to release new Openly Bisexual Cartoon

On the 19th of March, 2019, a tweet about Woody the main character of Toy story 4 being openly bisexual was supposedly released by “Disney”. This caused a lot of controversies online and brought about a few hateful comments for the LGBT community from various groups, individuals and most especially parents.

After seeing this tweet the online group ~ 1million moms was upset that Toy Story 4 had a little scene displaying the involvement of LGBTQ characters.

[Some] praise it as a ‘small moment of normalization, which is exactly why
1MM finds this to be so dangerous. It has not been mentioned much in mainstream media, which could appear as acceptance when really it was because it happened so fast. But the scene was included and intentionally not announced prior to the movie release in hopes it would be kept quiet to expose as many children as possible. So many families probably plan on seeing this movie if they haven’t already and will be blindsided by this subtle but obvious promotion of the LGBTQ lifestyle.

Often at times, people go online these days to complain for countless reasons. This complaint isn’t exactly surprising because 65% of the movie complains online are due to diversity, different sexual orientation, gender change or race of a main/major character. For example, Ruby Rose being cast for the role of Batwoman who is a lesbian.

However, shortly after the online arguments, Disney regarded the tweet as fake saying the report was not a genuine news account, hence such news was never published by Disney.

This isn’t the first such piece of “satire” on animated characters. We’ve previously debunked rumors about a transgender stingray in Finding Dory, a transgender hedgehog in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and a homosexual lion in the Lion King remake.
